Golden Dunes

Have you ever seen satellite photos taken by NASA from Earth? They are often pieces of art in themselves. Water, clouds, forests, land and desert intermingle in the most beautiful shapes, patterns and colors. I used some of these photos as inspiration for an aerial shot taken from my own imagination. That became this painting: Golden Dunes.

MATERIALS

Golden Dunes is an original artwork. The canvas is painted with high quality Amsterdam Acrylic paint. While looking at this painting you will discover tones of green, blue, dark brown, white, gold and metallic. The canvas (80 x 120 x 1.5 cm / 31.5 x 47.2 x 0.6 inches) consists of primed linen that is stretched on a firm frame. Both the front and back of the painting is coated with a varnish that keeps the colors beautiful for a long time.

DESTINATION

Golden Dunes has been sold to art lovers in Helmond, the Netherlands. After a restyling of their interior with new colors and furniture there was also room for a new artwork on the wall.
